Translation.

I got a whole slew of emails offering a translation of the article below. It should be noted that I was joking about being the biggest loser on the Internet, but since I was in the number one slot, I figured it could have been a possibility.
The article says this:

Conquering fame on the Internet. Six names that made success in the video site.
How about taking a picture of your face for six years? And make an art project out of it? Good idea, isn’t it? Noah Kalina thought about it before you did. He took self-portraits, always expressionless, put some original music to it and sat back and watched the his evolution during that time. And the whole world watched as well through YouTube. His project, “Noah takes a photo of himself every day for 6 years” (title translated to Portuguese) has become one of the most seen and creative featured on the website.

Thank you Ana, Tozé and André.

I am mentioned in the Portuguese version of Metro. I don’t read this language, so I am hoping it isn’t a list of the biggest losers on the Internet.

Black Mountain - Bright Lights.
This is the best ‘epic’ song I have heard in a really long time. It’s almost 17 minutes, so sit back and relax.
Or just buy the whole album cause it is so damn good.

Video by Michel and Oliver Gondry for the French band “Lacquer”.

“The video consists of digitally fast forwarded time lapse 16mm photography shot from a rig set up in the back seat. The entire seven-day journey, shot at one frame per second of driving (one frame per 10 seconds at night) is compressed into less than four minutes.” (via: Time-Lapse Videos)

Image Makers, Image Takers is a great book of inspiring interviews with some of my favorite photographers spanning all genres, which include Alec Soth, Taryn Simon, Anton Corbijn, Bruce Davidson and Rankin just to name a few. There are interviews with photo editors and gallerists as well. This is really a must have for anybody who likes to read interviews about photography with the added bonus that since it is a book you don’t have to stare at a computer screen. Also, once you are done with it, you have something you can put on your bookshelf and it will make you appear interesting to people who come and visit you.
